After about 7 years of development, Optio, a diceless Ancients gaming system, is close to completion (touch wood). It uses a unique double square grid for movement, and a determinist but unpredictable combat system based on reduction of morale steps.

I'll be putting up a website soon giving more details.

Here is a link to a skirmish AAR which gives a nice overview of the system's main mechanisms. I'm currently looking for interested playtesters who like Ancients wargaming but are fed up with the vagaries of the dice. Any takers?
