Thought a Florida scenario might do us some good during this nasty winter in the States.
I ran a 15mm Sharp Practice game that was based on the Battle of Wahoo Swamp on November 21, 1836.

I had 2 new players, including one who had never played a historical game before. He had a pretty hodge podge force to command and did a fine job. So no one should ever think TFL rules are too complicated for newbies. They both enjoyed it and are looking forward to more.

As someone making my own set of swamp terrain right now, I'm daunted. Also inspired, but mostly daunted. That looks like a great game.

Great looking game! Are those FrieKorps 15 figures?

I like it!

Several minis are from the Friekorps line-I believe they are the only ones who make 15mm 2SW figures. But I've converted quite a few over the years.
Thanks.

Impressive set up. How did you make the palmetto trees?

Microbiggie08 Mar 2015 8:46 a.m. PST

The palmetto trees are from a Chinese ebay dealer-can't remember who. The scrub is re-purposed plastic aquarium plants cut up and glued to a base.

As always, Mark your terrain is impressive. I would swear I have hiked through that area!

Nice looking Florida, they used to have big snakes in FL, 12 rattlers once upon a time were common.
Nice scenario.

I ran a 2SW game at our GigaHistorical Day event last month. I used the SP v2 rules and it went well. We had several new players Here is a teaser:

Clinch's Battle of the Withlacoochee. Nice!

That was just too cool.

I love your terrain.

I might do it in 25mm to match the figures/terrain I already have.

But that was really sweet to see.
