I've always felt that we miss out by exclusively recruiting young women for the Armed Forces. Having spent 10 years doing the school run, there are a lot of aggressive 30-something women out there who would make fantastic tank commanders/drivers – no enemy would stand before them for more than a few minutes (obviously we'd still need some men to park the tanks when it was all over).

Remember that one of the reasons give against giving the vote to women was that once started in aggression they are difficult to stop.

An excellent poem giving (perhaps false) reasons not to put women in conflict possitions. link

Britain has no 'moms', Tango.

Nosense!

We at Network Rail have moms – Movements Operations Managers.

However, I wouldn't trust any of them to manage a movement…

Not even with their own bowels.

Indeed.

Nice to hear that the US doesn't have the global monopoly on incompetent bureaucrats…

Henry Martini07 Mar 2015 3:17 p.m. PST

Isn't that a tautology?

The majority of MI5 staff are women as they don't show off about their job like men. MI6 is different.

GNREP808 Mar 2015 11:20 a.m. PST

May they annihilate each other and all their pals while they are at it.
------------------
Maybe there's fair no. of women in the analysis side but I'd highly doubt that the majority are. Also if they have surveillance teams made up mainly of women then they'd be the only UK LE organisation that does – the demographic is still overwhelming white males from the teams I have seen and the people I know in other agencies

Isn't that a tautology?
Incompetent bureaucrat(s)?

It's certainly a redundancy.

Nice to hear that the US doesn't have the global monopoly on incompetent bureaucrats…
------------------
Where did it mention incompetent bureaucrats? Actually changing the profile of people doing that sort of work is a good idea – both in terms of their thinking and also operationally – white men with short hair in pairs in 4 door family saloons stick out like a sore thumb in the kind of areas that these sort of organisations operate in.
