Painted some Lledo trucks for my Quar using Vallejo Dunkelgelb Surface Primer. (Wanted to see how it would look before doing my WWII stuff). Looking for a vehicle color around about Kursk/N Africa. This seems really, really green. Am I using the wrong base color? Want more tan/beige look. Thanks.

they make a Surface Primer called Desert Tan Base 73.613 . might be more yellow or lighter than you're looking for . little or no green in it .

Are you using VAL70604 Vallejo Surface Primer – German Dark Yellow RAL7028-? This color does have green in it as did the original RAL mixture. I second the recommendation above.

Yes, the RAL7028. Must be for Late War three tone camo or something -works fine for Quar.

Thank you, will look for the Desert Tan Base.
