Awesome. .. the more plastics the better.

Whilst I'm sure these will be welcomed, it seems a risky venture to me. Compared to shieldwall / spearmen types, there aren't going to be that many archers in a dark age / early medieval army, so how many of these will players actually need ? Enough to buy a whole box of 28 plastic figures ? I think a lot of the recent popularity for Dark ages has been fuelled by Saga, and most Saga players will only need 12 archers.

I would hope they would slip in a few slings, and a couple of hand weapons..

However, I share the concern that these might not be the best sellers…

I am always on the lookout for good quality figures with nice details. I don't play Saga, I'll buy a box or more. For those who do play Saga two friends can buy a box together and share it. Since there will be a variety of heads and both small and medium bows you can represent various cultures.

What a pity that such beautifully sculpted figures are holding elephant tusks rather than bows! Still, they look thick enough that they could be filed into a reasonably realistic profile.

They say the archers are compatible with their other kits,so if only as a spare bodies/heads source it is worth buying a first, archers box and 2 more boxes to combine with other CG infantry.

I'm in for a box. Then, I'll see what others uses I can find for them and buy more.

One box minimum. These look like a very versatile plastic kit, and in combination with other manufacturers kits will serve as lesser armed infantry and peasants & civilians from Ancients to the Renaissance for me.

I was wondering when CG was going to expand on their plastics line. GB has some new plastic coming out at Salute, and FF seems to be stuck on rules and not putting out figures.

the missed opportunity was the norman foot box without archers

Actually I think the box will do well. Many Saga players seem to have more than one army, so a box gives you enough for two different armies to use them and then a few left over for conversions.

What new plastics are GB coming out with?

Henry Martini02 Mar 2015 8:54 p.m. PST

Arab heavy and light cavalry, apparently.
