Dear All, I forgot to mention that I will be at Cold Wars to deliver two "Napoleonic Cocktail Hour" talks (Friday and Sat. 5 p.m.) about my book. Also, I will have "the full library" for sale. Looking forward to seeing you. James Napoleon Books |

James, Will you have a table in the dealers hall to sell your books or will you be selling them at your talks, thanks very much. |
James Arnold | 28 Feb 2015 6:05 p.m. PST |
Dear Double G No table but yes I will be selling at my talks and since I am one of those exalted creatures (Guest of Honor) if you don't attend you can chase me down by leaving a note at the check in. Thanks for your interest, James |

James, I thoroughly enjoyed your books on the 1806-1807 campaigns, and I look forward to reading your latest. Do you plan on publishing more books on the 183 campaign or is this it? Stephen |
James Arnold | 02 Mar 2015 5:57 p.m. PST |
Dear Stephen, I wrote "Napoleon 1813" because long ago I had visited the fields and more recently written about the Russians and Prussians of 1806-07. Research on 1806-97 prompted me to want to know what happened to those same troops and leaders who fought at Lutzen and Bautzen. Then there is the French side. "Napoleon 1813" is a stand along book by which I mean a self-contained story line that answers (at least for me) how and why Napoleon failed to avail himself of his last, best opportunity to secure his dynasty. As for my writing future, who knows. Right now, writing/research exhaustion prevails after a long, hard grind. Others more famous than me have said that writing a book is like opening a vein and then watching it bleed. It's too true. But kind words from readers like you help make it all worthwhile. Thank you. All best, James |

James, Thanks for the reply; being chained to my tables as a dealer during the day has it good and bad points, the money being the good point, missing out on lectures like yours is the bad. Hopefully I can make a connection at some point during the convention. Best of luck to you………… |

Just ordered my copy and I'm looking forward to reading this book. I hope this will complement Nafziger's 2nd and 3rd books on 1813. Unfortunately I'll miss Cold Wars this year. It was either Cold Wars or new goalie equipment and self preservation won out! Dale |
