Very nice. The T44 tends to be completely overlooked.

That was nice. Here is one on a Panther, probably from the same museum.

I always liked the look of the T-44.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice tank. I always thought the T-44 was more of a hint at post war design than all the crazy IS variants that were messed around with. Such smooth lines. That Mark IV is in pretty good condition as well. Would love to visit Kubinka some day. Hopefully Americans won't be so hated that I won't be able to check it out in person. I was in Moscow last in 1992, so I'm sure a lot has changed since then.

The Panther reminds me of the Mosquito… It just looks the part…

Timothy, even in Soviet times our propaganda made a difference between US state policy and americans living there. You should not be afraid to be torn to pieces by evil bears or starving Russians if you're coming here ;) Summer might be better though, as boxes with tanks might be a bit cold. Also, more chances to see tanks running.

A guy from museum hints that on May parade this year there would be Russian WW II tanks on the Red Square. he also mentions that 50% of tanks in the museum are "alive".

Very nice – impressive to see the old treads still working!
