I decided to try OHW H&M ruleset but with some OSW scenarios. As I have no suitable figures I played them in Battle Chronicler, is quite simple, because of the rule´s turn secuence.
I played with the rules as written.

Here is my first report: Sawmill Village scenario played with Neil Thomas "One Hour Wargaming" Horse & Musket rules.

Only Sawmill Village can be occupied by troops. Troops inside it have an 360° arc of fire.
The Mill and Old Dover House block line of sight and fire. The wall gives cover.
Artillery on the hills can fire over their comrades, but only if they are not beyond musket range of the artllery target.

You can see the complete turn by turn secuence of the game plus some explanations here:

Nice demonstration.

Did the Battle Chronicler take long to master?
I may want to use this for DBA 3.0.
Cheers,
Robert

Very good Cesar, the maps look just like the original Charles Grant maps in "Battle" magazine.

Paul.

Robert and Paul: thank you very much for your kind comments.

Robert: I would not say I have mastered Battle Chronicler. The software has many utilities and I have only learned to use just a few.
Nevertheless, it was easy for me to do this. The software has some help and one or two tutorials and I will be glad to help you.

Paul: the map is an scanned image of the original which appeared in M.M. magazine of October 1987. This is one of the nice things you could do with B.C.
I have done the same with the map of D. Featherstone´s BWMS scenario.
You could even use a picture of your true tabletop as terrain.

Next time, I plan to try "Blasthof Bridge" scenario.

Regards.
Cesar.
