I was thinking about sequels after the news of a new Harper Lee book. Which stand alone novel would you like to see a sequel for? I know sequels can suck but some great books end too soon. Can I nominate Kipling's KIM, one of my favourite novels. Does he follow the lama to a life of quiet contemplation or join the Great Game with a vengeance? Your picks? |

Casablanca I've often wondered what Rick and Frenchy did after they walked away from the airport. Not a love story though but a buddy adventure story. |

I can't think of any. Either I have been happy with the stories end or there has already been sequels done (often disappointing). x42 |

Glen Cook's The Dragon Never Sleeps. Greatest space opera novel ever written and it ends with the guardship in a predicament. |

Red Badge of Courage. Steven Crane was in his late 20s when he died & didn't have time for a sequel. |
