… Fifth Element, Flash Gordon, and a certain barbarian…

"Last week some cool new toys were announced and revealed at the New York Toy Fair. Here's a few I'm looking forward to--who am I kidding--I've BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO these for YEARS! The sheer amount of sci-fi based franchises here is enough to overload one's hyperdrive motivator. (Click to enlarge any of the images below.)…"

I think these are the same guys who make Terminator, Back to the Future and some other 80s sci-fi action figures. Funny stuff.

That Vultan doesn't look like Brian Blessed in the least. It reminds me of someone else – some African-American actor – but I can't quite put my finger on whom.

Those look pretty good, though I would prefer some smaller figs, instead.

Hope they make Klingons, and Romulans too, but at least there is a Gorn fig.

Can't think of a reason to justify it, but I might get the Star Trek figures.

a mugato would be good too.

They're Action Figures, not dolls.

I would love them for gaming, except they're so poorly sculpted I can't stand them.

On the 'positive' side, the Flash Gordon series are more poseable (elbows/knees) than that of the Star Trek.

I have to agree w/ Mako11, it would be great IF they would do both Klingon and Romulan as well. And I think anyone that wants to game with this, would kill to have a 'generic' crewman of what ever race they do. i.e. a Klingon warrior, Romulan guard and of course the classic Starfleet 'Red shirt'. They basically have done that with the Gorn.
And being 'Star Trek', there is no limit to the race/ charicters. Andorian, Telarite, could be made as members of starfleet or 'native' character, then theres always the Orian pirates. I know this is really not likely to happen, but wow what potential if they did.

Wasnt going to.. but I have to say that IMHO, the 'smile' on Vultan's face, is just a bit creepy. LOL

I may have to get a squad of the Orion Slave Girls.
