… to launch massive aerial drills.

"Over 50 Russian fighter jet pilots are taking part in the exercises, which will culminate with the Ladoga-2015 exercise over Lake Ladoga, east of the outskirts of St. Petersburg. Russian fighter jets will shoot live ammunition and launch guided missiles in combat environments as part of planned exercises that began on Tuesday in the northwest of the country, the head of the Western Military District's press service, Colonel Oleg Kochetkov announced.

Interesting.

Love that pic.

Best looking fighters in any air force, if you ask me. They have a lovely shape.

There were also snap inspections of Russian paratroopers apparently, sometime in the last few days, as well.

Didn't get to read the article, but one headline mentioned that Ukraine isn't just about Crimea, and those eastern provinces now under rebel control, but is part of a much bigger plan.

I think the author may be correct on that point.
