The wiki page says that this formation have 15 BTR-80s and one other armored vehicle, but it has something like 650 soldiers and not a BMD in sight. That is enough for a company or two assuming a company is like 50 or so soldiers. So I'm assuming that the rest ride in trucks and jeeps.

So what vehicles would they use and who sells in in 15mm?

Also, anyone have a rough breakdown for units like this? Platoon to company would be great. Right now I'm going with six man squads with a RPG and mg in each squad and 3-4 squads per platoon with a small command team… Say 20-24 men per platoon with 3 or so platoons per company (60-70 per company). That seems to fit a small regiment with only 650 men split into two small battalions.

What do you think?

Or air transported and foot after that.

QRF, of course :-)

According to Suomen Sotilas (Soldier of Finland) magazine's expert, there is a high probability that unmarked elements of this unit carried out the invasion of the Crimea.

Maybe in the Crimea. I want to assign a squad to a BTR, but have the rest in soft skins. I seem to remember reading about mixed columns like that. Would GAZ 66s work. Maybe one with a ZSU-23 for insurgents?
