"Recon 2015" Topic

Recon in Orlando is about 2 months away. The PEL is starting to build as games come in. The theme this year is the 200th anniversary of Waterloo. Already registered are games for Wavre, Quatre Bras, and the big one. Jeff and I will be running some TSATF games. My game is based on the final battle scene from Lawrence of Arabia. Jeff's will be one of his Northwest Territory games. For those of you who have never come to one, its a grand weekend of gaming at an excellent venue with access to theme parks and a multitude of restaurants. The room cost is $85 USD/night which is a good rate for Orlando. Come join us.

And don't forget, no resort fee! Oh, and by the way, 10% off at the hotel restaurant or bar for registered attendees!

This is one you are not going to want to miss. Remember to get your rooms early. Last show we sold out our room block but were able to get more rooms released to us, we can't guarantee that will happen again.

Some key dates:
25 March, last day for GMs to submit their games
1 April, last day to pre-register, sign up for a game or reserve a flea market table
23-26 April, let the good times roll!

After being inundated with emails and calls from gamers the last few days (during Mardi Gras!!!), let me say that this is NOT Colonial Barracks but a group of long-time players and veterans of TSATF doing their part for our hobby. Nick, Jeff, Dwight, Bill, Mike, etc. run some spectacular colonial games but they will be doing this during Recon in Orlando, Florida. Colonial Barracks is held each November in New Orleans and is the only miniature gaming convention dedicated to all things TSATF (and other rules by Larry Brom). But the main thing here is to have fun gaming!

The schedule for Recon weekend of TSATF games in Orlando is almost finalized. Dwight Jones will run two games Friday at 9 and 2, Bill Hogan will run his Boxer Rebellion game Friday at 8, Mike Lucas will run a Dervish game Sat at 9, I will run Lawrence of Arabia (a brand new scenario) Sat at 2 and Jeff Baumal will top it off with his Northwest Territory Scenario Sat at 8. A full slate of TSATF games for the weekend. Come join us. Rooms are only $85 USD/night.
