I am sure everyone would welcome a few photos to illustrate your work. I assume you have created new moulds, just similar in style to Prince August. |

link You might want to check this first if they are Prince August. Selling unlicensed casts would make you a pirate (which is a modern way of saying thief). If they are not Prince August, or if you have the copyright for them, then you are good. |

I don't want to sound rude but a glance at ebay wil tell you that the going rate for Prince August Napoleonics is about 5p per figure tops! Even Perry figs are only £1.10 GBP |

JezEger made the point I was trying to tactfully hint at. His link is well worth study, if you are casting from their moulds and not something you have created. Well worth illustrating and also clarifying what you are offering. |

Prince August figures were crude even back in the early 80's. Top of the Perry Miniatures are only around a pound new and you can pick up second hand Foundry figures on eBay for around half that. I don't think at your asking price you will find a market. Maybe a basic paint job and you may achieve a pound per figure. As they're prince august, even then that might prove a challenge! |

Brian … no pictures, no sale. This is a difficult market. |

Bound to think this is proving a little embarrassing. In all good faith, he thought he could cast figures from their moulds and sell them relatively cheaply to enthusiasts. I cannot imagine this would fund a jet-set lifestyle………. but, equally we have to understand that those producing work we value must retain copyright…or go to the wall. Brian would do well to just close this and say it was a simple misunderstanding on his part…..and heaven knows we would all understand. It is time he now responded to clarify what he is offering. |
