So, this evening at 9:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, it's a choice: the new episode of "The Walking Dead" on AMC, or the next episode of Downton Abbey on PBS.

No TIVO, so for me recording is not an option.

Have you made your viewing decision?

Maybe I'll just paint figures instead.

JimDuncanUK08 Feb 2015 1:25 p.m. PST

I would paint some more figures too!

Rhoderic III and counting08 Feb 2015 1:25 p.m. PST

Which one is the one with dragons in it, now again?

Oddball08 Feb 2015 1:43 p.m. PST

Walking Dead. No question.

My rule of thumb is any show that has automatic weapons fire always tops dialog.

Walking Dead moat definitely

Walking Dead

Sigh…are we not men? Are we not miniature painters? Are we not expected to uphold a culture and standards that the younger generation can only aspire to? Downton--of course.

Roderick Robertson Fezian08 Feb 2015 2:17 p.m. PST

Walking Dead runs twice on the same night. Of course, you might have to stay up late to catch the second showing at 12:15 (or catch it next Sunday at 8PM).

You don't need TIVO. If you have the internet you can download them onto the computer and watch at your leisure.

evbates08 Feb 2015 3:32 p.m. PST

Walking Dead for me.

Dave Crowell08 Feb 2015 3:37 p.m. PST

Walking Dead. To get myself psyched I have been watching Z Nation which is much better than I expected.

Downton Abbey will rerun next week at 7, at least on our PBS station. At 8 my daughter is hooked on The Great British Baking Show which has yet feature zombies.

I prefer not to watch Walking Dead. I do not like it….

While my wife watches it, on the big screen, surround sound, full blast… I will be in the basement with ear buds listening to Pandora while I prime some resin buildings.

Paint figures.

Disco Joe08 Feb 2015 4:32 p.m. PST

Neither. Go with the figure painting.

jdpintex08 Feb 2015 4:42 p.m. PST

Walking Dead.

Not enough money to make me watch downton. A gun to the head…maybe.

Great War Ace08 Feb 2015 4:44 p.m. PST

TV, heh….

Mr Elmo08 Feb 2015 5:15 p.m. PST

Downtown Abbey. It has a real plot with good acting.

combatpainter Fezian08 Feb 2015 5:55 p.m. PST

You can get it on Amazon any time.

Cyrus the Great08 Feb 2015 6:42 p.m. PST

The Walking Dead, it's not even an issue.

Timotheous08 Feb 2015 8:13 p.m. PST

Downton Abbey for me!

Hands down Downton Abbey

I am, to be diplomatic, not a zombie fan

I will consider watching "Walking Dead" when someone explains to me how they cannot out run a Zombie. Till then it's Downton Abbey

witteridderludo09 Feb 2015 8:43 a.m. PST

You'll have to watch Walking Dead from now on :-)
Off course they can outrun a zombie but it would be pretty boring to watch… Turning around every few steps to turn shoot some zombies and risking to get overr… errrm shambled is so much more dramatic.
Then again, malnourishment and heavy loads will affect their running ability too…

Original Star Trek episodes on Netflix :)

I thought the cast of Downton Abbey were zombies.

Gone Fishing09 Feb 2015 4:43 p.m. PST

Definitely Downton Abbey--it's a great show. Mad Men is awfully good as well, if you want to shake things up a bit.

WarWizard09 Feb 2015 10:03 p.m. PST

My wife and I are hooked on Downton. So simple choice.

COL Scott ret10 Feb 2015 5:24 a.m. PST

Downton, I have already seen all 8 episodes from BBC on Popcorn time.

Also Zombies leave me cold, too many real life walking dead to see much fun even in it though I have tried.

Likewise Downton sees to me like old school wargamers just a touch of class. Yes and my wife likes to watch it together.

snurl110 Feb 2015 10:28 p.m. PST

Walking Dead. No other show has held my interest for so long.

Deadone11 Feb 2015 5:30 p.m. PST

Walking Dead.

Oner of the best shows ever!

Your Kidding19 Feb 2015 6:46 p.m. PST

Both, downton with the wife on PBS, while painting figs. Then Later, walking dead through the net while painting figs.
