There were both mounted and dismounted dragoons that served through the campaigns of 1777 before being broken up and assigned to the 17th Light Dragoons for the Southern Campaign. Here, they break out of a woodline in skirmish order with both foot and mounted troopers engaging the Continentals. These are all Perry figures painted about 10 years ago. I just got a chance to photograph them.
