Good day
fellow gamers
i'm looking for pictures of infantry/foot for hail ceasar, conquest games, fire forge, Gripping Beast's plastic, some saga and even a Pathfinder/D&D mini compared to
Caesar Miniatures: 13 Century Medieval European Knights
Caesar Miniatures: Dismounted Crusaders
and any other medieval minis in about the same scale
if you have pictures please post. i have found a few…but nothing for the line comparison i mentioned.
i'm looking to expand our manshack minis to more medieval armies…..so very comparable sizes will do…can say north men are taller….and south men shorter….
we have hail ceasar romans, scribor, D&D, pathfinder, reaper, westwind, confrontation, odd GW chaos knights and we have ranked up and based 2000+ infantry figures/minis from the lion heart board game (dozen++ boxes)
we are finding that hail ceasar Early Imperial Romans: Praetorian Cavalry Regiment seem smallest like the fire forge Teutonic knights….they are riding ponies…..when the infantry seems reasonable to mix and skirmish with the other types mentioned.
ok they seem to scale nice to the lord of the rings GW minis
i on a 5 rohan Calvary…
but the hail ceasar roman troops box sets seem very compatible to GW shadow warrior high elves, D&D minis, confrontation plastic and gripping beast saga viking dudes
I dont mind a few mm difference…
but it looks like my fireforge knights will get dusty….
i have yet put one knight together…the same for the hail ceasar roman cavalry….they are just from a quick look…. smallest..out of scale.
Red box, hasselfree and even magnificent egos infrantry are to tiny….
the dwarves is another subject.
now when it comes to horses….i own 2 Percherons…20 hands high..1 clyde 18HH..have arabs 12HH, paints 15HH and couple quarters horses 16HH…and recently miniature horses….not ponies but preshrunk horses knee to crotch high….and i can see what a heavily armed knight would ride as compared to a scout…
the Lionheart knights horses are on the larger scale for horse size
so they ride Percherons per say and the rest on quarter horses and then scale down to welsh horse/ponies
the fireforge and roman Calvary on great Danes???
Remember the D&D 1E PHB….i always wondered what a light, med and Heavy warhorse was….now i know…my Percherons gals might be up in the extra heavy range…at 2 years old…..sire was 22-23HH.
when i figure it out…i will post pictures
