Okay here's hoping some folks can help me out. I recently got a pack of the Brigade Games Mexican Federales Command. They are nice figures but a little flash intense…no biggie.. However…. One of the figures is a bugler, and upon examining this figure it looks like he has some type of pom-pom type flowers or something on his uniform sleeves. Not the standard style you see on shoulder boards, but on his sleeves… Here's a link to the site showing the figures. link Does anyone know what these things are and if so, what colors they should be painted? Thanks in advance…. |

It is golpes -- the braid and tassles worn by musicians. I believe it was red. |

Murphy, I don't have this book but I have been looking at it lately. It is The Mexican Revolution 1910-20. It is by Osprey Elite #137. If you go to Amazon.com and use their 'look inside' feature you can see a small picture on the back cover that shows what you are talking about. The description of the plate is on p.58 but it doesn't say much about it. Hope that helps. link |
