Last night our club continued working through the early days of WW1 with our third battle, the Mulhouse scenario from Shawn Taylor's new Great War Spearhead II scenario book. Our first two games featured the BEF (a narrow British victory at Mons, and a much more decisive victory at La Cateau. This time, it's the French who see the field. There's a brief AAR with some good photos at our club site. All the figures are Baccus, and one of the guys started making 3" square town blocks with PicoArmor's 2mm buildings--they really look sharp at this grand tactical scale. I'm tempted to go buy some myself now.

Clarification: The buildings on the town blocks are actually Brigade Models, but sold via PicoArmor!

As with the other scenarios, this AAR is awesome, and I love the figs. Great job.

Thank you very much for posting the AAR and photos. I really enjoyed this scenario. In reality, the French were spread much more thinly in this area when the Germans counter-attacked. We assumed, for the sake of balance, that the infantry regiment which had marched off to the north was still present in the area. Had that not been the case, you can see how the Germans could have pinned the defenders of Cernay and outflanked them to the south without too much problem.
