For all you mental time travelers out there: m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6580912 link link link Or did one of you guys go back in time and start your own clan somewhere in Asia?
It already looks like Sapiens, Neanderthal, Floresiensis, Erectus, Denisovans, etc overlapped and shared the planet at the very same time. So what's wrong with another guest to the party, right? Dan TMP link |

Fascinating, thanks for sharing. However, I'm pretty sure that several of the "cave parents" from the first link drink in my local pub! |

Or did one of you guys go back in time and start your own clan somewhere in Asia? Well, there *are* stories of redheads in the Far West of China… |
Cacique Caribe | 02 Feb 2015 1:27 p.m. PST |
Yeah. But we're they really natural redheads? :) Dan |

So, we're all aware most of us have considerable Neanderthal genes, right? Where did the Neanderthal go? Just have a look around. By the way, they left Africa some time ago, and were most successful in Europe, so European stock has about the highest percentage so far. Funny, the one thing my ex never called me was caveman… ;->= Doug |

Hmm. I can think of a few ways to game this, but I would have to paint a few more figures first. Also, didn't Gigantopithecus live during that same period I. Asia? It would be a riot to include them in the clashes too, don't you think? I'm thinking of Yetis ("Snow Trolls") from Copplestone's Castings for the Gigantos.

I am convinced that if/when we find Bigfoot it will be Gigantopithecus. The descriptions certainly fit. As for hybrids, wasn't Larry Niven who observed in one of his books that humans will try to mate with anything? |

When they were making discoveries in Afar in the early '80s I remember thinking that it looked as though we'd got the general picture of human evolution together. How wrong was I? |
Cacique Caribe | 04 Feb 2015 5:42 p.m. PST |
We all were! I wonder if the loss of all that genetic lineage dooms us, like the Hyach were doomed in Babylon 5: "Hyach – One of the older current races, possibly older than the Minbari. The Hyach view telepathy as completely normal. Thus, they do not regulate them as the humans do. The Hyach evolved in parallel with another race known as Hyach-do. 1200 years ago he Hyach enacted laws of genetic cleansing with which they eventually completely exterminated the Hyach-do. Centuries later the Hyach discovered that they were genetically linked with the Hyach-do, and without the Hyach-do the Hyach find their own race slowly dying." link Dan |

@ Dan Humans can be so terrible to those sharing 99.5% of their DNA. What might they be like to actual humans of different races? However it is an intriguing thought that we've lost much by being the only twig left on the evolutionary bush. |
