Message today showing they are adding two more vignettes to the Ewart one already announced (see the metals workshop). Wonderful, but they keep doing this after I have slaved to scratchbuild such! What do I now do with my cross eyed Ponsonby or with Stiles? Brilliant stuff;

Well researched, beautifully sculpted and exciting to look at..! Personalities & vignettes are what the Perry's, Alan especially, do better than anyone! Alan has captured the drama, urgency & desperation of each situation magnificently. These are now top of my 1815-2015 shopping list. |

A sad tale and a question. I showed my cross eyed conversion to make W Ponsonby some time back. As ADCs I had de Lacey Evans in Infantry officer uniform and another chap (name escapes me right now) from 5 Dragoon Guards. An excuse to paint a dragoon with green facings. Only recently read that chap was absent on the day, he was in Brussels…….weep. Plus now Perrys produce something far better….mine may yet turn into Somerset with different ADCs
Seriously though, not suggesting for a moment that I would change anything, but did ADCs wear their regimental uniform? Reignolds as a Scots Grey is terrific, but was that actually his rig on 18th? Certainly looks best that way! |

Deadhead – I think that some officers wore specific ADC uniforms while others wore their regimentals probably with an ADC aiglette added to their shoulder. Only guesswork, but I'd imagine a lot depended on how long they had been appointed an ADC (and thus whether they'd had time to attend the London tailor who would provide their uniform!) This gives us plenty of leeway to choose our figs in whichever option we like! I'm so pleased to see a British ADC figure at last. Thank you messrs Perry, I will stop whining now. |

Thanks for all the kind words, they're great fun to make. Hello Lord Hill- I recently re-found all the info you sent me along while back . I had intended on making some British command groups a while ago but couldn't find your detailed info, as I knew there were some gems in there. Luckily I have now, which was pretty good timing. Sorry deadhead, I couldn't help myself. Oh, you might want to hang-fire on Somerset :)……… Alan |

Thanks for all the kind words, they're great fun to make. Can we have Corporal Shaw of the Life Guards fighting off nine French cuirassiers? (Only joking, Alan……) |
