I ran across two very interesting podcasts that have enhanced my understanding of time periods I play. These also supply fodder for ideas, characters, and scenarios. Others might enjoy them. 1. Rex Factor: "Rex Factor is a podcast reviewing all the Kings and Queens of England from Alfred the Great to Elizabeth II – we go through their life and reign and then score their performance in Battleyness, Scandal, Subjectivity, Longevity and Dynasty before deciding whether they have that certain something – the Rex Factor!" rexfactor.podbean.com 2. Saga Thing: "Saga Thing is a podcast hosted by two friends and former grad-school colleagues who have been reading and enjoying the sagas for years. We're both professors of medieval literature and we both have beards. Though we live quite far apart, recording Saga Thing gives us an opportunity to get together again (virtually) and talk about our love of medieval Iceland. Our goal is to read and review the sagas, one at a time, in an epic quest to put the sagas of the Icelanders on trial and to celebrate the greatness of saga literature." sagathingpodcast.wordpress.com |

I'll have to have a listen. I would suggest "The History of Rome" podcast. |

Thomas Jefferson hour is pretty neat overall. They had a good 2 part series on the invasion of Virginia. |
