Very useful. The Options is still a good read.

I suspect if we want fiction about Napoleon we need look no further than the re-enactments coming up shortly, involving the Francophile nations

For myself I enjoy these alternate history books but my favorite has to be Napoleon's Waterloo Campaign: An Alternate History by Steven Marthinsen and it's a great read.

To me it's good that we have something from the French point of view since we've had Hornblower and Sharpe I'd rather read something from the other side.
