Could I use 15mm USMC to double as the marauders in Burma?

What kind of equipment did a basic squad have (one or two BARs etc.)?

Checking out the options now. Maybe a mix of Eureka Pacific Australians and USMC? Australian riflemen in bush hats could double as Garand -armed men, and Thompson users would be ok as they are. Then for the majority I could use USMC men and support weapons.

In 15mm I don't see why not. Looking at newsreels and photos they seem to have had pretty standard US kit; perhaps with helmets rather than bush hats…just how it seems to me; I may be totally wrong.

The USMC shirt is different than that worn by the Army in the pacific, the Army didn't use helmet covers and I believe there are differences in the web gear. But since there aren't correct figures being produced they are your only option.

I really wish somebody would produce the correct figures for the US Army in the PTO.

Yes, as has been said, they're somewhat difficult to recreate in miniature. You'd also probably want mule-handlers.

Chinese forces for Burma are also notably missing from figure ranges. Eureka do a basic Chinese range, which is a start, but the four divisions of Stilwell's 'X' Force in India/Burma (as well as some units in 'Y' Force in Yunan) had been heavily re-equipped from US and British sources. Typical dress and equipment was British KD with shorts, long puttees, US or British helmet and webbing, Springfield rifles, Bren Guns, Boys ATRs, Browing M1917 MGs, US 60mm & 81mm mortars, Bazookas M1 37mm AT Guns, 75mm Pack Howitzers anmd of course, mules.
