Nominations are now open for the Todd Fisher award. The Todd Fisher Award was established in 2010 to recognize
individuals that have distinguished themselves through their
service to HMGS-Midwest and the Little Wars Convention. The award was named after Todd Fisher, recognized as one of the founding members of HMGS-Midwest and Little Wars. Todd also has distinguished himself as a historian, author, miniature wargame rules writer, and wargamer. Any current member of HMGS-Midwest can recommend someone for the Todd Fisher Award. Those recommended for the coin do not need to be members of HMGS-Midwest. Award recommendations must be received by the president of HMGS-Midwest no later than 30 days prior to the current year's convention. All recommendations should be written and no longer than a single page in length. The recommendation should detail the contributions and service to Little Wars and HMGS-Midwest and then the hobby in general. The recommendation will then be sent to holders of the Todd Fisher Award for a majority vote. The Todd Fisher Award coin will be presented at the convention. Those that are awarded the coin receive a lifetime membership in HMGS-Midwest and free convention admission. |
