Revisiting this, from an earlier posting (see below), and since the current Best Rules for Modern Subs poll is running:

So, just curious to see if anyone is using these, Harpoon, or other rules sets for their modern submarine games?

Would love to see some rules for diesel-electrics, and/or AIP subs, in addition to other stuff.

Also interested in gaming littoral environments, like the British had to deal with during the Falklands Conflict.

I came up with some house rules for that, and also for deeper waters, e.g. many, many false contacts, which, with the addition of being run with a referee, could be good fun (he says, sarcastically – really, rather frustrating I suspect), for both sides.

Anyone else doing something similar for that, in the South Atlantic, Baltic Sea, etc.?

I suspect the British and Swedes are currently, or have recently, in real life, so might be fun to try in a wargame, or three, as well.

I like Sea Command by Enola Games

In my opinion it does everything Harpoon 4 does but is actually playable

Granted it won't cover modern ships but you can probably stat them up yourself.

I've been working on a set of modern sub rules to use with the collection of 1/700 models I have. In fdact I've been working on them for about 25 years!

Surface Battlegroup is my current rules of choice.
