for anyone looking at late Victorian Navies. I spotted it on ebay, put in a bid and got it. When it arrived it was an even better source of info than I had surmised from the description. The better news for you lot? It's out of copyright and available free online! 90 plates showing ships layout, etc, detailed stats of most of the world's navies, etc, etc, etc. link link |

I love Brassey´s gun tables, although I have heard tell they are a little slanted for the home team. But they have some great information about rate of fire, velocity, and so on.Great stuff! |

Brassey's are one of the most useful resources available. A most have for the pre-Dreadnought era enthusiast. |

Strange it isn't available for you – it's a US archive, works for me and I'm in the UK. Possibly software? needs a particular bookreader format you don't have? Don't have an answer, but there were several other free versions on the web – some need you to register – and it really is an excellent resource. |
