Britannia's Wolf: The Dawlish Chronicles is the first book in a series of naval novels set in the late 1800s. Really fun series of books, reflecting the changes going on in ship design at that time. Also, they are naval novels not set in the Napoleonic era. Written by Antoine Vanner, I get them on my Kindle, but they are available in other formats. I recommend these. He writes great stories with a lot of interesting naval history thrown in for good measure. There are currently three books out, including Britannia's Reach and Britannia's Shark. |

I have read all three of the books that have been published so far … and thoroughly support everything that Bill McHarg has written. I recommend these books to anyone with an interest in nineteenth century naval warfare … and particularly to naval wargamers as the books contain a lot of material that can be used to create scenarios. |
