So to finally kick the new year off, here is the first mayor batch i painted this year… Imperial Trenchers for Warzone Resurrection: link This includes four five-men squads, two officers, SGT. Thank you all guys! @ordinarybass: I like their looks a lot, too. Regarding the previous editions minis… depends on how picky your are. The 1st / 2nd Ed. metal Trenchers should be about the same hight, but much beefier. The 2nd Ed. plastic Regulars have about the same heft, but are a bit smaller and far less detailed. I think this would be your main problem… there is 10-15 years between these models and the old Imperial minis and the sculpting quality has really improved. Also the weapons look more compact on the WZR models. All that being said… I think 2nd Ed. Imperial and Bauhaus are those models that should still go best with the new WZR minis. |

They've certainly managed to put a lot more movement and animation into their figures. Very nice. I love the old Warzone figures but they all do the "stand with gun" pose. |

Most of the new Warzone minis have a legs akimbo "accident in the trouser area" pose which I don't like. |
