So to finally kick the new year off, here is the first mayor batch i painted this year… Imperial Trenchers for Warzone Resurrection:

This includes four five-men squads, two officers, SGT. Benjamin Taylor and Brigadier Paul Rist.

Enjoy,

Burkhard

Very nice work. NIce to see the new figs are so faithful to the source material. How do they look alongside the old figs?

Thank you all guys!

@ordinarybass: I like their looks a lot, too. Regarding the previous editions minis… depends on how picky your are. The 1st / 2nd Ed. metal Trenchers should be about the same hight, but much beefier. The 2nd Ed. plastic Regulars have about the same heft, but are a bit smaller and far less detailed.
I think this would be your main problem… there is 10-15 years between these models and the old Imperial minis and the sculpting quality has really improved. Also the weapons look more compact on the WZR models. All that being said… I think 2nd Ed. Imperial and Bauhaus are those models that should still go best with the new WZR minis.

They've certainly managed to put a lot more movement and animation into their figures. Very nice.

I love the old Warzone figures but they all do the "stand with gun" pose.

Most of the new Warzone minis have a legs akimbo "accident in the trouser area" pose which I don't like.

Like the color choices a lot, nice work
