That is a beauty! Are there optional cargo bays? It looked like from your blog that there is one that is a bit more open, if so, would it hold an APC of some sort? Thanks! |

Jimbo painted one up and posted the pics on the facebook 15 mm page. Can't wait for the kickstarter. |
zonk76 | 20 Jan 2015 7:09 a.m. PST |
Oh, I can see the Facebook page now, very cool it looks like it's a big enough cargo hold for a vehicle! Awesome! |

Once again 15mm shows itself to be the scale of the future. Awwww Yeahh. |

Yeah, it's very nice. I got to see the prototype in person :D I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it Dwartist. Your work is always outstanding. While I have a couple of VTOL's, and another on the way from Harold Crossley, I will probably pick one of these up at some point. |

I like it! Hope it will be available for non-kickstarter purchase as well. |

Indeed MrHarold! This complements your range quite well. |

"Are there optional cargo bays?" There is just one cargo bay in the kit but the seating is separate so you can have a passenger or cargo area (there are three sections of seating; one for the central area and two smaller ones that fit the middle bays in the hull sides – so you can have seats and cargo!). What I missed in my haste to put the 'Vanir' together is the inclusion of four heavy equipment crane arms that can be fixed into the roof of the hull instead of the cabin to hold larger vehicles. Pics later… |

TK421: Busy ;) Jimbo outdid himself with this. I think he's talking about other versions also. |

scale comparisons with a couple of figures on the blog link |
ski2060 | 24 Jan 2015 11:30 a.m. PST |
Would you be willing to post up a pic or two with a 28mm model for scale comparison? I'm thinking this might be able to work dual duty as a platoon dropship for 15mm or a single squad ship for 28mm (Infinity). Assume the rear ramp drops and a clamshell door opens up top, it looks like a 28mm human scale model would be able to walk in no problem. |
Lion in the Stars | 24 Jan 2015 12:30 p.m. PST |
Excellent idea, Ski! (I'm always on the lookout for new Infinity dropships) That beast really reminds me of the heavy fliers from Avatar for some reason. |

Yeah I thought it may be quiet on the new model front this year, but this and the new Ainsty kit are proving that wrong. |

Bit more work on the interior…
and I quite fancied having a few troops in the troop hold for scale prposes so cut the bases off some of ACP's Nationalist troopers and a Valkyrie..
which have been primed and given a basecoat. |

Didn't have much time yesterday so just managed a little work on the 'Valkyrie'

That dropship is a thing of beauty – going to have to watch out for the kickstarter announcement on this one! Any idea when it's going to go up? |

@tk421 , Lmao!!!! Glad ya like it folks was fun to design and make, hope you join the KS when it launches. Holding out for Feb 13th. |
Lion in the Stars | 06 Feb 2015 12:16 p.m. PST |
@Crimelord: Will this be a KS-only, or will it be available after the backers get theirs? |
Crimelord | 06 Feb 2015 12:41 p.m. PST |
It will of course be cheaper for backers and have free continental US shipping , plus any freebie stretch goals and there may even be a free model limited to the KS. But yes it will be available after the KS, this is to help us get the model produced in the USA. |

@Dwartist : how big is it compared to Khurasan's russian 'Doe' gunship? |
dwartist | 13 Feb 2015 3:55 a.m. PST |
Sold the 'Doe' so can't compare. I would say easily twice the size and more…'Doe' about same length as width of wingspan. |
