I have all the Foundry figs but they are 15 years old I think. Does anyone make something closer to what swat units look like today? |

At 28mm a contemporary SWAT/CIRT/SOG mini is going to be pretty much interchangeable with most Special Forces minis. Police teams usually have a breaching weapon like a shotgun but other than that M4s an SMG/carbine and other specialist weapons and kit are found in most of them. I'm more than happy using my Foundry SWAT guys along with Eureka, Assault Group and Empire Miniatures. |

TAG does good modern SWAT. Foundry also has one GIANT figure in each pack that is more like 35mm and totally, freakishly unusable for 28mm, so you're better off anyway. |

Special forces is a great idea, thanks! |

Ax'I love the "freakishly"huge guy as when stacked up against my other 28mm guys the one carrying the M60E3 looks like he should carry the machine gun :-) I really like that the Foundry minis had figures of various height in the squads just as IRL. The female figures for example had a couple of petite characters as well as average height. |
