Posted to Pulp Gaming Only because, if these work well for modern the 1940's HO vehicles should work just as well for 15mm Pulp games

Those look great, and work very well with the figures!

Borathan17 Jan 2015 2:48 p.m. PST

They'd work for proxies for pulps, though with railroad cars, there are probably a lot of suppliers that also do more classic looking cars that would fit a whole lot better

Do you have a link to where you purchased these?

War Monkey17 Jan 2015 6:44 p.m. PST

Got them on Ebay. Just search under "1/100 scale cars"

Wargamedownloads18 Jan 2015 12:06 a.m. PST

Yeah there are a few on eBay. I have bought a couple of different ones.

I still need to get some of those mini vans, someone did have a sorted sets of SUVs as well, still waiting for them to come back so I can get a set or two of them, I like the idea that I can breack them down to three main parts I plan to take out the glass section and make some of them as burned out cars just add some paint in browns and orange with some black touch up. Will ad a base to those for ash and debris.

Matchbox/Hot Wheels toy cars are roughly scaled at 20 mm, ho, 1/87th.

TK 42120 Jan 2015 6:43 a.m. PST

For the most part they are with some being a bit small and some too big which is why I carry the scale card. Don't leave home without it.

Matchbox and hot wheels are 1:64th ( supposedly, but it obviously varies)

War Monkey20 Jan 2015 12:26 p.m. PST

I know Matchbox and Hot Wheels vary which really sucks, wish they would make them all at just one scale size. They have some really great vehicle just that they scale out to the wrong size.

So I'm looking into other ranges of vehicles and will be posting my findings.

You might consider going to a model train show. I recently went to one in Saint Louis and while it wasn't huge there was a lot of finished buildings for about 5 dollars each and vehicles. The detail on most of the buildings was fantastic. The major scales were HO (1/87th or 19.5mm) and N (1/160th or 10.6mm). Sadly no Z.
