So while wandering the aisles of JoAnn Fabrics waiting on my wife I found this for storing paint. Not sure if you've seen this or not so I though I'd post it.
It hold 64 paints in two trays of 32 and the trays come out of the box and even have a leg on one side that pops down so the tray will sit on an angle.

Sorry they are made by ArtBin (actually flambeau) model number 695AB and called "glitter glue storage". |

the only problem with that type of storage is that the pigment will get stuck in the nozzle. I had that happen. |

Yes, I tried the "top-down" method as well, and found that pigment pooling on the bottom was much easier to deal with than the reverse. Ymmv. |

Once you close the lid you can stand the case up so the bottles are horizontal |
