Hey, Leland, what's the dimensions of that Matchbox Stryker? I've been looking for an MGS model forever! |

Great work! I miss being agog at the stuff in your display cases (and elsewhere). |

Thank you, everyone! @Lion, Regarding the dimensions of the Stryker, it's a hefty beast indeed, being 3 & 1/2 inches in length and 1 & 9/16 inches wide. It's definitely a heavy wheeled AFV in 15mm, hence my arming it with the fusion cannon option from the Darkest Star Scorpion; I figured only the heaviest wheeled vehicle could handle the weight of the necessary power generator and cooling system of a fusion cannon capable of knocking out a heavy blower tank, so the Stryker was IMHO the perfect basis for the conversion… @VS, indeed, I miss watching your own good work blow mine to smithereens on the old wargame table, with The Thundering Herd roiling around our feet in the old shack in scenic Frisco, TX! Many an epic battle, many an inglorious defeat at your diabolical hands and diabolical dice!
And what I still can't fathom, is how the Hell you manage to make actual historical scale models from *scratch.* At least I have the advantages of a ready-made starship hull in the form of an empty deodorant container or some such, but you, my old friend, just start with styrene and balsa wood, a set of drawings and it's BAM! Starship! BAM! WW1 biplane down to the last strut! It is I who remain in awe of you, my dear Virtual Scratchbuilder, and rightly so! Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net

@Lion, Regarding the dimensions of the Stryker, it's a hefty beast indeed, being 3 & 1/2 inches in length and 1 & 9/16 inches wide. hrm… rats, that puts it a bit bigger than 1/100, then. 1/100 scale would be 69.5mm long and 27.2mm wide. Good looking beast, but I already have a couple QRF strykers. I need someone to get around to making the Mortar carrier, Ambulance, and MGS variants. |

Yup. It is bigger than 1/100 scale. IIRC Johnny Lightning made a 1/100 scale Stryker a number of years ago along with the M2 Bradley, and I *did* manage to score a mob of the later at a dollar store in Fremont about three years ago… Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |
