Does it have crew figures to go with it?

Nice kit made even better by your superb infantry their!

wizbangs16 Jan 2015 6:26 a.m. PST

Ditto Dynaman. It doesn't look like it comes with a crew.

PiersBrand16 Jan 2015 7:01 a.m. PST

Yes… It comes with a variety of crew figures.

But I dont put them in, I paint them on their own first before fitting them…

Thanks Piers, another lovely model, I'll have to pick some up at Cold Wars.

When are they coming out in 1/72?!?!?!?!?

PiersBrand16 Jan 2015 8:17 a.m. PST

Guys,

Just been chatting to Will about a couple of issues I had while building this model, and its lead to the mould being checked…

Turns out there has been a error made by the factory so the model is being pulled to allow the tool to be reworked and corrected.

He said to say that if anyone has bought one, to contact PSC or the retailer and new sprues will be sent out to anyone who has bought one.

If you bought from PSC contact Anita on;

sales@theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk

Once I know the new tool is up and working I will let ye all know.

what was wrong with the kit?

PiersBrand16 Jan 2015 11:50 a.m. PST

Just a part doesnt fit properly and a part isnt moulding perfectly from what I found. Seems an issue that crept in between test sprues and the final from what I gather. Not sure really… I just stick 'em together.

So they are correcting the mould.

Lordgoober16 Jan 2015 4:09 p.m. PST

which part for what variant? If it's not key to the variants I want to make from a particular box then I'll buy early.

PiersBrand19 Jan 2015 3:53 a.m. PST

I think the issue effects all three versions. One of the problems I had was with the side hull plate not quite fitting and needing a bit of trimming to drop into place. Not hard work, but Will at PSC is a perfectionist about these things and likes the models to be built without such effort.

For building the Marder in this thread, you would only need to trim the side panel on one side to build it. Its easy enough to do and if you are after that variant I can show you in pics what to do… Its very simple.

There is also an issue with the mount for the Pak40 moulding correctly everytime, so I think he wants to sort that issue out at the same time.

Its a shame, as it builds into a really nice kit, and Im really enjoying painting it. Will be very popular once its out.

I do salute them for wanting to get it right!
