Bingo! You win.

Eclipsing Binaries09 Feb 2015 9:29 a.m. PST

WOOHOO!!!

That one was easy as you'd posted the same picture on your "Borodino 1812 Czarist Generals" page of your website.

Fifth quiz..

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP09 May 2015 5:51 p.m. PST

First hint – they are officers. What Army?

paulalba09 May 2015 6:49 p.m. PST

I have no idea who but they look great, Russian for early Napoleonic period?

von Winterfeldt09 May 2015 10:58 p.m. PST

lovely sculpting and fast progress

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP10 May 2015 3:11 a.m. PST

Early period is right, russians not, Paul.

Second hint, they are missing officers for existing AB line.

Valmy9210 May 2015 6:39 a.m. PST

Given that, and since the early Austrian command doesn't have named officers, I'll guess 1806 Prussians.
Phil

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP10 May 2015 7:07 a.m. PST

These are not named officers (personalities) and not Prussians.
Third and last hint – these are infantry officers (not generals) and von Winterfeldt commissioned them as battalion commanders.

Eclipsing Binaries10 May 2015 8:16 a.m. PST

As they are early and to compliment an AB range, are they Revolutionary period Austrian then?

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP10 May 2015 9:19 a.m. PST

Yes, you win again! :)

Eclipsing Binaries10 May 2015 10:30 a.m. PST

Excellent!! I'll buy a few of those from you as soon as they are ready.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP10 May 2015 12:45 p.m. PST

You win two quiz, you get two additional free figures, when order. Kutuzov and one ot this officers. And another one, as being Old Guard (one of my first customers).

von Winterfeldt10 May 2015 12:50 p.m. PST

I will need a few too ;-))

Eclipsing Binaries10 May 2015 2:38 p.m. PST

Thanks Sho.

I just wish I'd known you were doing these as I just used a Blue Moon mounted officer in my O'Donel's Frei-corps battalion, and just completed the command stand this morning. I may try and pop him off his horse.

Any chance you could maybe do an early Murat suitable for Marengo at some point?

Colin

von Winterfeldt10 May 2015 11:03 p.m. PST

a good French staff and generals for the Revolutionary period is overdue anyway – generals like Custine, Hoche, Kleber, Marceau, Desaix, Lecourbe, Richpanse, Jourdan, Augereau and Bonaparte.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP11 May 2015 8:09 a.m. PST

All is possible, but I don't know now, what exactly will be the next projects after current ones. All depends, what my fingers want to sculpt on that moment.. May be some infantry?

Eclipsing Binaries11 May 2015 9:26 a.m. PST

Please go with von Winterfeldt's suggestion. Revolutionary French staff would be fantastic!

If you are set on doing infantry, how about Russians for Suvarov's camapaign in Italy?

Or….

Bavarian's with von Rumsford uniforms.

British for Egypt.

I can think of more.

von Winterfeldt11 May 2015 1:28 p.m. PST

some infantry?
Yes please

French infantry in helmet in 1791 – :-))

I forgot Massena

FleaMaster13 May 2015 3:43 a.m. PST

Revolutionary French Staff set please!

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP13 May 2015 3:56 a.m. PST

I can't promise nothing, but some suggestions seems interesting.
At first I must finish current projects.
Cossacks and Austrians after two weeks and then Krakusen and new Towarzyc.
And I allways wanted to do Westphalian Infantry..

von Winterfeldt13 May 2015 4:46 a.m. PST

What is so specific about Westphalian infantry?
Any French infantry figure would do.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP13 May 2015 5:01 a.m. PST

In 6mm yes, French Bardin, Westphalian, Saxons, Vistula Legion etc. all the same. But in 15(18)mm there are some differences.
And most important, I always wanted to do this.. My first sculpted figure was Westphalian, I like the sound of this word – Westphalia.

Eclipsing Binaries13 May 2015 6:03 a.m. PST

I have cash set aside for whatever Austrians you can get into production.

Westphalians don't really interest me unfortunately, but keeping to that area, if you did Hessians for 1798 those would be cool.

Sixth quiz..

von Winterfeldt15 Jul 2016 11:17 p.m. PST

another Murat

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP15 Jul 2016 11:25 p.m. PST

Yes. Murat at Borodino.

Eclipsing Binaries18 Jul 2016 1:13 a.m. PST

Still no Marengo Murat? :(

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP18 Jul 2016 2:31 a.m. PST

Marengo Murat is also on the table. Borodino one was just more recognizable for quiz.

All Murat line is under resculpting, they have too tiny feets, must be bigger.

Seventh quiz..

Eclipsing Binaries14 Sep 2016 12:57 p.m. PST

Is it early revolutionary period Belgian? I know they had the neck tie.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP14 Sep 2016 1:11 p.m. PST

No, French. But revolutionary period is right.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP15 Sep 2016 3:25 a.m. PST

Hint.. this figure probably always act as part of group on gametable, not separate individual (like flagbearer may be).

von Winterfeldt15 Sep 2016 4:48 a.m. PST

he is wearing boots, so an officer – or another special rank, a tambour – major?

Eclipsing Binaries15 Sep 2016 4:55 a.m. PST

Could be an officer, or sergeant, with an esponton/spontoon? Could even be a Paris Guard veteran with a half-pike?

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP15 Sep 2016 5:27 a.m. PST

Von Winterfeldt nailed this. Tambour-major is correct answer. I make a boyband of barefeet drummers.

Eclipsing Binaries15 Sep 2016 5:37 a.m. PST

ooooo a band!!! nice. Totally useless in game terms, but nice!!!

von Winterfeldt15 Sep 2016 7:45 a.m. PST

please don't do all without shoes, I will send you some very nice contemporary pictures in due course, showing a huge variaty of boy drummers

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP15 Sep 2016 7:50 a.m. PST

One Osprey contain picture of boyband, I copy this. Only one boy will be without shoes.

von Winterfeldt15 Sep 2016 11:01 p.m. PST

immage sent, you will love it

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP16 Sep 2016 2:40 a.m. PST

Thanks. Yes, boys here have almost exactly the same image as in Osprey picture.
One inspiring detail, when Austrian wear oak leaf on top of hat in war, then revolutionary French wear spoon. :)

Eighth quiz..

Dr Jeckyll31 Jul 2017 3:56 a.m. PST

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP31 Jul 2017 4:09 a.m. PST

Dr Jeckyll31 Jul 2017 7:51 a.m. PST
