I've got a number of 15mm Napoleonics that I bought as part of a collection that have etched bases containing 4 digit model numbers (#2704/2705 are two that I've seen so far). Also listed are HM and what I assume to be the casting year (1977 is one, for example).

They seem to be pretty good 15mm figures but not knowing which one made them is driving me a little nuts. :-)

Sounds like Heritage to me.

Pictures?

I don't think Hinchliffe ever made any 15mm figures.

Dale Hurtt13 Jan 2015 4:45 p.m. PST

Sounds like Heritage Der Kriegspielers to me too.

Hinchliffe made Heritage under licence, they were later made by Skytrex.

Dan 05513 Jan 2015 6:07 p.m. PST

Sounds like the Heritage Napoleonettes range.

I don't think Hinchliffe ever made any 15mm figures.

I had a bunch of 15mm French in overcoats that I remember as having been from Hinchliffe back in the mid 80s. They were were very prone to breaking at the ankles. Otherwise they were pretty so-so.

Here is an old Heritage catalog: PDF link

2704 and 2705 are Russian musketeers/jaegers.

My 1813 Prussians are Heritage. I really like them.

Pictures will help.

Sounds very much like Heritage Napoleonettes line. Very nice sculpts for their time but because they are true 15mm, their scale doesn't hold up very well.

Weak ankled Hinchliffe sounds more like their 12mm System 12 range than their licences Heritage 15s

I do distinctly remember that Hinchliffe had a 15mm line which were on the smaller end, but mixed OK with the 2nd Generation Minifigs and DerK/Heritage Napoleonettes. I've never seen their 12's close up, but given the change in measurement styles, the 15mm might have been about 12mm to the eyes…

And I had a couple of brigades of the greatcoat Russians in Kiwer Shako…their ankles were indeed weak, many ended with globs of glue between the coat and base!

System 12 and their 15 mm were different, I had both, 15 mm as said above mixed well with Heritage 15 mm, I had their French infantry in greatcoats – also as said above Hinchliffe made for a whilte Heritage under lisence

Heritage 15mm are still my favorite 15's

Love the Napoleonettes. Definitely my favorites, then and today.

Hi Guys,

Thanks to everyone for the responses and especially Brian with providing that pdf.

Strangely enough, I came across some French figs that are stamped custom rather than a 4 digit model number. I'll see if I can post pics so everyone can see both fig and base.

Dan 05515 Jan 2015 5:33 p.m. PST

I think Custom Cast produced them for a while.
