This doesn't fit neatly into any board, but I thought several here would be interested in modern recreation of USMC historic (and modern) uniforms. At major bases its common for a historic uniform display to be associated with the Marine Corps Birthday celebrations. Attached link takes you to the privately founded organization (largely composed of USMC veterans) who support unit requests. usmchc.org/uniform-packages/ I think painters might be interested in some of the photos.
