I remembered that some Mamluk had remained in the service of Napoleon. I checked. Watch Link, said that there were still Mamluks in 1815.

I think some of the mamelukes were murdered as they attempted to make their way home after Napoleon's first abdication and I have an idea that it happened in Italy. However, for the life of me I can't recall where I read this and it may be that I am misremembering.
