The people who make Squinkies (Blip Toys) are putting out tubes of 28mmish figs for around $5 USD a pop. The first link has a scale comparison that includes the Laser Team 54mm "Wookie" figure to give you a better idea of size:

Some of the monsters in Monsters vs. Milita remind me of "Monster in my Pocket" figs.

I applaud that they sculpted army men for this line instead of relying on the emaciated dwindling sculpts of army clones that you see in most packs as of late.

Cheap and very useful looking. I would imagine these might start showing up at Target and Toys R' Us here in the US since they carry other products from Blip.

I picked up a "Monsters vs. Army" tube at Target more than a month ago. I have seen them at other locations, usually on an end cap just before the toy section, along the main aisle. My Target's layout seems to represent about half of the thirty or so different stores I have been to.

They are pretty cool, and if have been toying with some ideas for rules for them. I have been on a kick to come up with a simple army men vs. Dino's vs. giant bugs vs. aliens, etc rules system with cool & different mechanics, but so far, I haven't come up with much. As long as I have something up and running by the time my toddler is old enough to take part, it's all good.

They are very clean sculpts, and yes, they do remind me of MiMP. I have tons of those, I need to dig them out, thanks for reminding me!

Got some of those for my… son…. cough… cough… :-)
Got some of the Robots vs. something and Ninjas and Pirates too. Figure a bit of the plastic spray paint as primer and they are a great intro to painting for my kids. Thinking that SAGA would be a great game to modify for this :-)

Long overdue! I'll definitely grab some of these next time I am in a Target. Thanks for the notification- and all the photos. Very helpful.
