I've just posted some pictures of my old West End Games Star Wars miniatures on my blog. I love these figures, both because they are Star Wars and because they were some of the first figures I ever painted (and yes, it shows!).

Take a trip down memory lane here: link

These are pretty well done for a thirteen year old. I have rediscovered a nostalgic love of the WEG Star Wars rules and am planning on gaming it in 15mm. Thanks for sharing and taking me back down memory lane.

One of the things I love about the old rules is how you can adapt pretty much any type of soldier to them. But I do have one question for you!:

I'm a bit stumped about how to represent massive war-droids, such as the droid tanks from the prequels or the Viper Droid from the comic books.

Seems that the droid rules are geared towards human sized robots and the vehicle rules obviously have a need for crew. I'm undecided about how to deal with this. Maybe use them as vehicles and the 'crew' just represents the circuits. Dunno. Do you need to figure this out as part of your plans?

Pleased you enjoyed the post.

Nice miniatures and painting. I have some of these myself somewhere.

Thanks very much.

Treat them as normal tanks and give them a droid crew?
Thats what I did some time back when trying to adapt the WEG rules to the Clone Wars era.
Judging by the write ups that`s what the Trade Federation stuff was anyway. Normal vehicles with droids operating them.

They look fine. Don't repaint or rebase. The memories are worth more than an upgrade in quality.

Dont repaint perhaps a rebase and then just enjoy.

Thanks, Rabbit. Something to think about!

Forager/Mike: Thanks for the input. I may just go with rebasing. They are just on really thin card painted in a glossy green(!) so I won't regret sprucing it up. But you are right that I might regret repainting them…
