"Well . . . where is it?" Topic

I'm hoping to have some 17th century stuff to post soon, and there's really nowhere for me to put it (unless I just chuck it into the Napoleonic Naval Discussion board again, which in the past has caused some confusion, as well as a psychological discomfort that could only be eased by the liberal application of good single malt whiskey.)

The poll to establish an Age of Sail Board closed almost two weeks ago, with twice the number of supporting votes customarily required. In the recent past new boards have appeared much more quickly, with much less impetus behind them.

Is the editorial staff still busy recovering from the holidays, or is this just a case of nec audiendi vox populi?
