Hi I'm hoping to use Fireforge Mini's Mongol light cav as Steppe Nomad allies for a proposed Era of the Princes SAGA force. However I have some samples of GB's Jomsvik Vikings and they are huge in comparison to the slender plastics I'm used to eg Warlord Games, Perry et al. Firstly are the GB Russians slightly smaller than the large Jomsvik Vikings?(hoping so). Does anybody have these figs and know if they will match up? Asking as at the moment I don't have £20.00 GBP to splash out on a box of figs to find out they won't work. As always many thanks and Happy New Year one and all :-) |

As it happens I've just finished assembling some units which consist of a mix of GB Dark Age warriors (who are likely to be the same scalings as their Russians) and FF Mongol archers. I've mixed the bodies/arms/heads fairly freely and they all seem to work. The FF heads are smaller than the GB ones, but they have helmets which hides that. There's a little bit of variation in body bulk and height, but it's well within human range and now I've done three archer and two close combat units, the figures all look like they're part of the same army. |

Cheers guys, they will be in separate units within the warband so they should in theory mix reasonably well. The steppe nomads would probably be a shade lighter in stature from the Russians anyway so this should work well. Cheers guys for taking the time to contribute. |
