Introducing the new WW1 American Cavalry and Mexican forces ranges plus New Multi-Pose figures.
These are a few tasters of the new range we have been working on recently. It is already an extensive range and growing. We have a good selection of American period Cavalry and motorised equipments from Horse borne US cavalry to machine gun armoured motorcycles and other interesting equipments. A number of Mexican types including Villiasta's and Zappata's men plus federal types across the period.

Another new thing about these ranges is that they contain "Multi-Pose" figures. Multi-Pose figures are essentially multi-part figures that can be built and posed in different ways. This makes them more interesting to view, creates a level of individuality to the models for either gaming or modelling vignettes.

Multi-pose includes separate arms either holding weapons or open handed, separate different heads and a number of different weapons to be posed as required. Also, others with split torso along the belt line allowing the same figure to be posed as required at different angles.

This is a new idea we are trying in these ranges so we welcome your feed back on this idea.
The early Harley Davidson Motorcycles are just great, and a few are shown here. There is some great video of these things being shown off to good effect. I will upload a video for this later. I have made Solo, Solo with Pillion, Side car, side car with Pillion, Machine gun side car with armoured shield and Benet-Mercie LMG, same with shield folded. I have the LMG ammunition carrier and Ambulance with stretcher versions under construction so will follow soon. Gunned up Ford Model T trucks are near to finishing with crews and equipments.

The Mexican models are just great to make and feature a lot of "big hats"! Types include the revolutionary types but also Ruralies and other Federal types. Very colourful to model.

Wargaming it.
Many great small scale actions were fought in this very much overlooked period, ideal for table top actions. Now there is a huge set of possibilities and "what if's" that this period contains, all of which we shall be exploring later as we unfold these model ranges. But as a small taster, if you look at the year 1916, the what IF possibilities are staggering and interesting. The Kaisers Germany pushing all sorts of weapons, technology and advisors into the chaos of the revolution in Mexico with its wealth of excess's. Japanese interests, the newly opened Panama canal, Mexico's vast oil wealth at the time, American military and Civil interests. Pancho Villa did invade America, the US responded by sending General Pershing after him and many small scale encounters occurred. But it's the What IF's that open a real world of possibilities to wargame and model. More on this later.

Those look really interesting. I always thought the Mexican Revolution was an era that was under-represented in gaming.

Umpapa01 Jan 2015 3:38 p.m. PST

EXCELLENT!

Since I love 20 mm pulp (as You can see at my blog), it is a must for me.

THIS will be my next big wargaming project!

Best news in this year so far. ;)

Agreed! I've been waiting for years for a company to produce this period in 20mm. Outstanding!

Henry Martini01 Jan 2015 6:23 p.m. PST

If these had been around a few years ago I might not have committed to 28mm, but alas…

Unfortunately, you seem to be following the popular trend with this subject of fixating on the peripheral US involvement. The Mexican Revolution itself offers a vast selection of possible scenarios, and deserves to be given in-depth treatment.

The few companies that have ventured into it in the past have mostly only dabbled. Even Old Glory, which has given it the most attention, treats the Revolution as an afterthought (the range is called 'Pershing in Mexico) and leaves a lot of troop types to be improvised and converted. Admittedly information on uniforms and equipment beyond the principal types is sketchy, but I still think it would be well worth someone making the effort.

I love these. I would use them for a between the wars Imaginations type stuff.

mghFond01 Jan 2015 8:36 p.m. PST

These are a great idea, best of luck with it! I'm with Henry though, I already own a 28mm collection of mostly Old Glory for the Mexican conflict.

Our group plays a few Mex Rev games every year. Oh, and I don't have Pershing's men in my games at all, it's only Mexicans v.s Mexicans. Not like they didn't have enough factions!

Wow…… These look good! Loads of potential and multi-pose as well.

The motorcycle combo is crying out VBCW! Could be the CSS Alabama Volunteers getting a third restructuring :)

What other goodies have you planned for the New Year???

Richard Baber04 Jan 2015 4:31 a.m. PST

Love these and highly commend you stepping outside the box and producing something interesting and different :-)

Whilst i agree with Henry about people fixating on the limited US involvement, I like your Yanks :-)

As for the rest – you can NEVER have enough mexicans in big hats, I`ll be putting in an order as soon as they appear on your website :-)

All the best and keep up the good work
Richard

Viva Mexico!!!
