Not a review of 2014 ! Happy New Year Readers

First unit of the new year, based up this morning, Artizan figures, nice sculpts, due on the gaming table tomorrow for our Xmas game.

A bit of a childhood hero, Lawrence, sadly he is part of British History we seem to be afraid of these days, any mention of Empire gets a disparaging look. Is he known in the US ? with no American involvement in the theatre.

Regards, Ken

Got to love Lawrence, who will always be Peter O'Toole to me, because of that great David Lean film which is amongst my top five of all time.
Nice figures.

Yes, known in USA. Look for the book, "A Prince of Our Disorder", by John E. Mack.

That is very nice work ! I loved the movie too, eventhough many sight a number of historical, etc. inaccuracies … But a good flim none-the-less … Loved to see the old Rolls-Royce A/Cs still in action in the early '60s ! And the scene with all the arguing Arab tribal leaders in Damascus. Real or not is somewhat still applicable today in the region and SW Asia …

Superb whites on those figures! I was familiar with Lawrence's escapades froma pretty early age, but my dad was a history professor.

Great looking figures, one of my all time favorite movies. I just finished reading "Guerilla Leader: T E Lawrence and the Arab Revolt" by James Schneider and learned that "Aurens" was tough as nails and a brilliant military mind. I was so impressed, I bought "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" for my Kindle.
I'd really like to do the Arab Revolt in 20mm, but I'm stymied as to what to use for Arabs….Airfix won't cut it.

B and B Miniatures had a range of Arabs that might work, if they are still in production or can be found second-hand.

Figures look very nice.

I saw a website somewhere that had modern pictures of some of the old steam locomotives that Lawrence had blown up, still rusting away remotely amid the sand dunes…

Yes, you can still see the remains near the Wadi Rum area of Jordan. Magnificent countryside with spectacular views.
