Hey all---finished up a few 15mm scale Khurasan tanks and RAFM Imp APCs to accompany my foot troops. I have fluff and a brief painting guide (not a full tutorial), plus more pics, at my blog, link Some pics below. Thanks for looking!

Link is broken because you added a . at the end

Thanks Weasel, fixed!

I imagine these guys are gonna get regularly knocked out in games of No Stars in Sight.

Weasel31 Dec 2014 10:38 a.m. PST

Almost a shame, since they look so nice (both the sculpts and your paint jobs).
How are you statting them up?

Grignotage31 Dec 2014 10:53 a.m. PST

I need to review your vehicle rules, but I'm thinking the APC has a hyperfire autocannon. The tank has a slug thrower and a autocannon mounted in the cupola. The tank will prob have ablative armor on the front and antibuzzbomb armor on front and sides. Gonna give the slug thrower a limited quantiy of flechette rounds which will act as a super wasp grenade (maybe a 6x4" area).

The APC is pretty plain jane, not much added there.

A super sized wasp grenade for tanks is a good idea. I'd be wary of adding more damage to it but a 6x4 blast area sounds pretty suitably scary.

Hopefully it'll keep any enterprising goons with energy weapons at bay!

Regarding your choice of colors and especially the graffiti…

Two APCs and two MBTs: throw in the infantry and you've got a good start IMHO…

Nice!!!

Great job. I'm glad the guy from workaholics approves too.

Why does everyone mount the Red Lightning's gun barrel sideways, so that the heat sink points up? Just curious.

Grignotage31 Dec 2014 4:06 p.m. PST

Thanks everybody! Glad the workaholics and otter agree, too.

@Blackwidowplt: I have a platoon+ of Oddzial Osmy infantry painted for this faction, still looking for who their conventional enemies are going to be.

@Khurasan---I got these second hand (blush…but I have bought plenty from you directly!) and they were already assembled. As for why people do it---how many pictures of the tank do you have on your site? I figure a lot of gamers will go for a from-above symmetry if left to their own devices.
