So yesterday, my wife came down to the store to join in for a game of ECW. After the game she decided that she wanted her own force for the Bolt Action game this coming Sat, so bought some Warlord 28mm Americans. Later that night she decided that she needed a little inspiration so got me to watch 'A Bridge too far' with her. Today we go to see 'Fury'.
Am I lucky or what!

What a gal!

Rrobbyrobot29 Dec 2014 7:57 a.m. PST

Such a deal!

You're very lucky (almost as lucky as Murphy!)

The old guy next to her kinda looks like he's thinking: "What is that WOMAN doing here?" grin

Interesting leap from ECW mass battle to WWII skirmish. Was a game being played near by that caught her interest?

A rose between the thorns.

She looks a lot happier to be there than the other Guy's wives in the picture.

TBERRy,
Sabrina, my wife, played in one of the club's WWII pacific war games earlier this year. She enjoyed the game mechanics. Had been considering painting up a force.

You are a lucky man, congratulations!

The guy in the middle back (me) was thinking "How do I get her to talk MY wife into gaming?"

Who asked this joker29 Dec 2014 1:30 p.m. PST

Yes! Yes you are a lucky guy! And I am highly jealous! wink

Congratulations!

Lucky you are: My wife just tells me to go have fun and asks what are you going to do with more toys?

Historicalgamer29 Dec 2014 2:29 p.m. PST

Geeze…there oughta be a warning when Cold Steel's pic is going to be shown. Glad I had an early lunch!!!! :)

My wife will roleplay an NPC for me occasionally. So far she has played Madam Syn (Fu Manchu's daughter) a few times and Windy a homeless person.

olicana29 Dec 2014 4:35 p.m. PST

Sorry, but which one of those lovely, lucky ladies is your wife?

snodipous29 Dec 2014 6:56 p.m. PST

I have spent a good part of Christmas vacation painting 15mm Saga Crescent & Cross figures with my wife – I have Hospitalers and she has Saracens. She has painted miniatures before, but this is her first army.

cosmicbank29 Dec 2014 7:01 p.m. PST

Saint me more about this role play……

Privateer4hire29 Dec 2014 7:14 p.m. PST

I know this is all propaganda so I refuse to believe :)
Next thing you know somebody'll be finding unicorn skeletons or some such.

Mako1130 Dec 2014 3:23 a.m. PST

Glad to hear it.

She sounds like a keeper.

McWong7330 Dec 2014 5:08 a.m. PST

The guy standing to the right of her certainly approves!

Dear Privateer for Hire

Yes, the neighbor's dog dragged one out of the back woods the other day. It sort of looked like a deer but the horn was definitely there, sort of. Well you could see where the Papa bear had ripped it out. I don't have it any more, I gave it tot he little girl with the hooded red cloak and basket.

Actually my ersatz granddaughter is an avid gamer, as is my ersatz grandson. (They really aren't my grandkids, but they are my best friends children and I spoil them like a grandparent. She's my ersatz daughter too, and she games as well.

One of my other gaming buddies daughter games too. She's a bit of a cruel one though. About a decade ago when she was in high-school she's quite good looking and one day walked up to this classmate who she kinda-liked (in that way that late teenage girls kinda like most boys) and asked him if "he thought he could get lucky that weekend." The boy, obviously was in a frenzy. He wondered why she wanted him to come over at 9 am and thought the parents would be out of the house. Uh-Uh-- Dad and mom (who also gamed) were t here as was about a dozen of his old fart friends, and he walks up and she says to him "Ah, you're here! Good!' and pops a pair of dice in his hand and says "Roll when I tell you to! I need a newbie to roll good for me!"

Needless to say it was NOT the warm summer afternoon he was anticipating.

Jennifer always was kinda cruel.

Does she know that a load of weirdos are standing behind her?!

Stelios12 Apr 2015 1:46 p.m. PST

I can vouch for D6 Junkie: there are no foreseeable sudden yard sales, or forced ebay sales, in his future.

Volleyfire13 Apr 2015 12:44 p.m. PST

What is the guy in the middle at the back looking at?

Last Hussar15 Jan 2017 10:56 a.m. PST

Guy on the left is wearing a Tottenham shirt!

In Georgia!
