So, I've succumbed to yet another project..and am now building 3mm US and NVA forces from PicoArmor. The game I'm hoping to accomplish will have lots of infantry (like Ia Drang Valley) with some tanks, and a few helos. Does anybody game Vietnam in this scale? If so, what rules are the best in your opinion? I've been thinking about Cold War Commander or the Vietnam supplement from Force on Force?
Thanks!

Can't help with the rules, but have run across some interesting armor engagements, in Vietnam, that I never knew about, while researching vehicle info for the Cold War in Europe, e.g. PT-76s vs. M41 Bulldogs and M-551s, M48s, etc.

Check out the Wikipedia info on the above to find some of the battle accounts.

In some cases, it is a bit surprising which side won.

Charlie Don't Surf by Too Fat Lardies. Use CM instead of Inches to be practically spot on between figure and ground scale. (otherwise the ground scale would actually be too big and the figures too small)

I am no expert on Vietnam but we have played a number of enjoyable games using the Panzer 8 – 1950/1975 Wargame Rules although the figures were either 6 or 15mm. Available free on the Panzer 8 website. The rules use platoon bases.

Charlie Don't Surf is a great game but I sort of feel that recommending a game where infantry is based individually is not exactly 3mm friendly ;)
