I'm rather proud of how these bases turned out, all 6mm scale by Baccus. I'm making each line battalion 44 figures and lights 24 figures, but all can be broken down to 60mm x 30mm bases for C&C type games.

Here's a selection of photos, still adding more units!

Cheers,
Lee.

I always stay away from figures so small, but you my friend have done an amazing job on such tiny figures.
Beautifully done.

Nice, I just downloaded the Osprey Combat book 'Continental v Redcoat' onto my Kindle, so I am starting to think about armies and scale. I like your basing.

Great job, Still think with 6mm you should have over 100 figs per battalion :-).

Thank you very much indeed for the comments, and Giles, coming from you that means a lot :-)

The above pics were not the best, it's hard to get shots of massed 6mm figures. Here are a few more taken along the way, hopefully a little more crisp. I know in many ways it's pointless painting detail on 6mm figures, but I enjoy it and it's just nice to know they will stand up to pretty close scrutiny should one be so inclined!

I should point out that the baccus 'formed militia' come with bayonets, I did think about removing them but decided against damaging the castings. No big deal in this scale.

Lee.

Very nice! Much better than mine.

What rules do you use? I use Black Powder with 48 figure units. They work quite well, but I'm always ready to consider others.

Lee,,

These are magnificent, confirming you, along with Kev Rouse, as one of the great 6mm painters. I am lucky to have so many of my 6mm ancients painted by the pair of you. Happy New Year!
