I played a solo game to try out my new copy of DBA 3.0 on Boxing Day, using a scenario for the Battle of Mohacs 1526 published in Miniature Wargames #2: link

Throughly enjoyable, the new version of DBA looks and plays well.

I remember that issue as Mohacs was quite an eye-opener for me. Thanks for the AAR. thumbs up

I like that rolling landscape. I want to do some Hittite / Egyptian, which is quite a deviation for me, so I am interested in the new DBA, do they still have a section for big battles ? (double size armies I think).

Yes, it does have that section in. Again, to my untrained idea it doesn't look like that much has changed in this regard to DBA1, but I defer to those with more expertise if they say different. The army lists are much clearer in this edition, because it makes clear which historical troop type (and thus, which figures and paint job) the DBA unit represents).

The rolling terrain is a bit of an optical illusion: there is a large ridge in there, but the variation of colours on the cloth seems to exaggerate the effect!

normsmith BBDBA is triple armies. Although there is also a double army variant as well.

P.S. Nice battle report.
